If the word “resort” only brings visions of summertime fun and relaxation to mind, you are missing half the fun. Minnesota’s Sunset Shores Resort not only offers great summertime activities; it offers great wintertime activities such as Ice Fishing on Norway Lake as well.
With 2,344 acres and over 22 miles of shoreline, Norway Lake is the perfect place to go ice fishing this winter. This proficient fishery is stocked full of plenty of Largemouth Bass, Walleye, Northern Pike, Crappies, Bluegill and Sunfish thanks to the four rearing ponds that stock the lake. It is not uncommon to see several ice fishing houses clustered together on the lake, but do not worry—there are plenty of fish for everyone.
Ice Fishing Amenities
Unlike fishing at other ice fishing locations, which leave you sitting out in the cold, fishing at Minnesota’s Sunset Shores Resort is ice fishing at its finest. We have large, warm, comfortable fish houses for rent in three sizes. The largest ice house is 10 feet by 24 feet, and it comes with twelve ice fishing holes and six bunks. The medium ice house is 10 feet by 15 feet, and it comes with eight holes and four bunks. The smallest ice house is still a very roomy 10 feet by 12 feet, and it comes with eight holes and four bunks. All of our houses are equipped with warm beds, and barbecues for when you are ready to take a break from fishing.
